York lad John Hearld has always been interested in the drums, even before he was a teenager he had his own drum kit.
His first encounter of playing the drums to the public was with the scout band. He played in the scout band from age 11 years old for 5 years. He then moved on to playing the drums in various groups gaining a wealth of experience playing live and recording in the recording studio.
After a while he had a break from playing live to spend more time running and managing his own recording studio. Working with groups, recording EP`s, Demo`s, and spent 9 months working on a album.
He then joined another group playing live again. Having gained more experience. He decided to move into teaching the drums. He commenced teaching the drums in 2002 and to date he has taught in excess of 400 students. While teaching the drums he has also done drum tech work, working with well known artists.
